All needles are made of high-quality stainless steel with a Teflon coating. The Teflon coating allows the needle to pierce through the cork with minimal friction. In addition, the coating ensures durability and the needles last about a hundred times. It is recommended to replace the needles after one hundred uses. This reduces the chance of breaking the needle! The standard needle is made of high-quality stainless steel with a Teflon coating. In addition, with the standard needle you pour a delicious glass of wine in just 25 seconds. The standard needle can be identified by its black ring! With the Faster Pour needle of Coravin you can pour wine 20% faster than with the standard needle. This allows you to fill your wine glass in just 19 seconds! The needle is specially developed and is therefore thicker than the standard needle. It is advised not to use the Faster Pour needle if the cork is no longer in good condition. Because the needle is thicker, it can seriously damage an old and fragile cork. The Faster Pour needle can be recognized by the red ring! The vintage needle is thinner than the standard needle and therefore you can easily tap wine from bottles with an old fragile cork. This has the disadvantage that pouring wine is 40% slower than with the standard needle, but patience is rewarded! Pouring a wine glass with the vintage needle takes about 53 seconds. VINTAGE KORKNADEL: Für ältere Flaschen, die einen zerbrechlichen oder empfindlichen Korken haben, empfehlen wir die Verwendung der Vintage-Korknadel. Diese Nadel ist schmaler gestaltet und sorgt dafür, dass der Korken so wenig wie möglich beeinträchtigt wird.
